Journal review of Seawater Corrosion

Corrosion can be happened too in Seawater environment. I wanna inform about my journal review from Durodola, B.M, J.A.O. Olugbuyiro, S.A. Moshood, O.S Fayomi, A.P.I. “Study of Influence of Zinc Plated Mild Steel Deterioration in Seawater Environment”. International Journal of Electrochemical Science, 6 (2011): 5605 - 5616. It's not only about that journal but also more information about seawater corrosion. Here it is! Study of Influence of Zinc Plated Mild Steel Deterioration in Seawater Environment

Corrosion protection

There are many ways to protect material from corrosion. Here is below you can see the detail. Nb: I take this information from several references. Enjoy! ;) Corrosion Protection

Resume Journal of CO2 Corrosion of Carbon Steel

In my previous post, i've already informed about CO2 corrosion. In this post i will inform more detailed again about this kind of corrosion but based on journal of The effect of acetic acid on the pit propagation on CO2 corrosion of carbon steel from Amri, J., E.Gulbrandsen, R.P Nogueira. Bitte Kuck Mal! :) The Effect of Acetic Acid on the Pit Propagation on CO2 Corrosion of Carbon Steel

High Temperature Corrosion

What do you think when you hear about high temperature corrosion? is the mechanism as same as corrosion mechanism as usual?the answer is "not". High temperature corrosion has a really different mechanism compare with aqueous corrosion as we know. To know further about high temperature corrosion, you can read my journal review of High – Temperature Chlorine-Sulfur Corrosion of Heat-Resisting Steels. High Temperature Corrosion bitte drück mir die Daumen für Meine Prüfung :D Cheers, *Mia*

Internal Corrosion in Oil and Gas Industry

Corrosion has a really good relationship with Oil & Gas Industry. Why i said that? As we know in oil and gas industry, corrosion phenomena always happened as an internal damage or external damage. In this time, i will discuss more about internal corrosion in oil and gas industry, for more detail is Case study on erosion–corrosion degradation of pipework located on an offshore oil and gas facility, a journal from Hu, Xinming, Richard Barker, Anne Neville, Abinesh Gnanavelu. Enjoy! :D Internal Corrosion Mehr bitte! *Mia*

Microbiologically induced corrosion of copper pipes in low – ph water

haloha, i'm back with another journal review. In this time, i will inform you more about microbiologically induced corrosion (MIC). MIC can occured because of influence of microorganisms on corrosion process of metal, cause by microorganism adhering to the interfaces, usually called as biofilms. MIC can occur in various types of environment and materials. This journal review will be specific "MIC of Copper material in drinking water environment". NB: Main reference: Reyes, A., M.V. Journal Review "Failure Analysis of Stress Corrosion Cracking Occured in a Gas Transmission Steel Pipeline"

Nowadays, journal review activity is like a daily activity in my lectures especially in advanced corrosion. Again in this post i will review a journal from Meresht, Sadeghi E., T. Shahrabi Farahani, J. Neshati about “Failure analysis of stress corrosion cracking occured in a gas transmission steel pipeline” Elsevier Engineering Failure Analysis (2011): 963 - 970.

Note: Thanks for Beasiswa Unggulan Kemendiknas for this Scholarship! :D

*Cheers!*

Stress Corrosion Cracking "T-Type Naphta Pump Strainer Mesh Failure Analysis"

In this post, i will review a journal from Muhammad A.Butt, Muhammad A.Virk, Arshad Chungtai, Ijaz H.Khan, Munir Ahmad. They are from Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, university of Punjab, New Campus Lahore, Pakistan and Technical Services Centre, Pakistan Standard and Quality Control Authority, 125 A Industrial Area, Kot Lakhpat, Lahire, Pakistan. The title is "T-Type Naphta Pump Strainer Mesh Failure Analysis".

Here it is!

Note: This post is related with one of my subject namely advanced corrosion

Carbon Dioxide Corrosion

In this post, i will inform you about Carbon dioxide corrosion in oil and gas pipeline. i decided to choose this topic because this topic is related with my assignment in Corrosion's subject and I've just attended Corrosion seminar that discussed about corrosion in oil and gas pipeline and the main causes are due to carbon dioxide corrosion and hydrogen sulfide corrosion. but, in this post i'll only explain about carbon dioxide corrosion in oil and gas pipeline and being specific is what kind effect of acetic acid on carbon dioxide corrosion in oil and gas pipeline. so, enjoy!

High Temperature Corrosion

As I said,I take Corrosion Engineering as my specific major in my Master Degree Program. Now I wanna inform you about what corrosion is. Corrosion is the destructive result of chemical reaction between metal or metal alloy and its environment. There are several types of corrosion such as uniform corrosion, localized corrosion, intergranular corrosion, stress corrosion cracking, hydrogen induced cracking, erosion corossion and so on. Corrosion is also divided into aqueous corrosion and high temperature corrosion. In this time i will give you an example about high temperature corrosion.
